Man Arrested for Murder After Assaulting Elderly Female
On Thursday, July 19, 2018, at approximately 2:53 pm, Tualatin Police responded to a report of an assault in the 20000 block of SW 72nd Avenue, in Tualatin.
When officers arrived they located a 74 year old female assault victim inside the home. The female victim was transported to OHSU but later died as a result of her injuries.
Officers also located a 47 year old male suspect inside the home. The suspect, identified as Mr. Garth Beams, was taken into custody without incident and lodged at the Washington County Jail on a charge of Murder.
The Tualatin Police were assisted by members of the Washington County Major Crimes Team and the Washington County District Attorney’s Office.
