Building Division

The City Offices will be closed Thursday, November 27th and Friday November 28th. Please note, there will be no inspections on these days.

The Building Division is accepting applications for permits online using eTrakit.  All issued permits and approved plans are available online and do not need to be picked up.  

 

If your project includes exterior work, contact the Planning Division prior to applying for your building permits.  

 

Current turnaround time on complete applications*:

 

 Residential:             4-5 weeks                                                   

 Commercial TI:       6-8 weeks

 New Commercial:  7-9 weeks

 

Notice: Per the Building Code, any work performed prior to obtaining a permit will be charged an additional investigation fee. 

 

 *All electrical permits and plan review for the City of Tualatin are contracted to Washington County. Please contact them directly for all electrical permit applications and questions.*
