Tualatin Public Library

Welcome to the Tualatin Public Library!

Tualatin Public Library's mission is to empower and enrich our community through learning, discovery, and interaction. Open 64 hours a week, Tualatin Library is one of 16 libraries in the Washington County Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS) network. Take a virtual tour of Tualatin Library.

Tualatin Public Library owns more than 100,000 items including books, music, audio books, DVDs, Blu-ray, games, and magazines. In addition, your library card gives you access to more than 1.7 million items owned by Washington County libraries, including e-books and online research databases. Use the Search Library Catalog box on any library page to find items and reserve them for pickup at Tualatin Library.

Of course, Tualatin Library offers more than just books; library programs are also extremely popular—we offer dozens of events every week for children, teens, adults, and families, most of which are free. Check the Events Calendar for upcoming events.

Visit our new Makerspace to try out equipment like 3D printers and sewing machines or get creative with art supplies. The Children’s Room boasts books, interactive exhibits, and computers. The Teen Room has computers, video games, board games, and seating for studying or just hanging out. Teens are invited to after-hour movie nights every Friday during the school year. Tualatin Library also offers computers with productivity software, wi-fi access, and wireless printing.

A unique highlight of the Tualatin Public Library is its striking display of an articulated mastodon skeleton, unearthed in Tualatin, which is mounted in front of an etched-glass image of a mastodon.

Tualatin Library could not accomplish any of this without our dedicated and skilled staff. They are ready to connect you to library and community resources 359 days a year. In addition to our paid staff, the Library benefits from excellent volunteers  who donate more than thousands of hours annually to the Library by checking in and shelving materials, assisting in programs, doing administrative tasks, and providing community input on Library programs and services through the Library Advisory Committee and the Teen Library Committee. Additional support for the Library is provided through the Friends of the Tualatin Public Library and the Tualatin Library Foundation.

Our Library is a place of engagement, activity, connection, and community. We are constantly seeking ways to improve our service to Tualatin residents. Please contact Library staff if you have any questions about library services.
