Survey Results

Tualatin Library received high marks on its recent annual survey, rating 4.5 out of 5 stars for customer service. Among the results:

• 91 percent agreed that Tualatin Library is a welcoming place.
• 94 percent agreed that they would recommend Tualatin Library to a friend or family member.

The variety of items in Tualatin Library’s collection is what makes our library stand out to users, and 95 percent rated our collections as good to excellent.

A total of 334 people completed the survey, which asked questions about library user experiences and perspectives about the Tualatin Library collection. Library users in the survey raved about Tualatin Library’s collection variety, ease of collection access, and kind, helpful staff who create a welcoming vibe.

More than 350 comments were shared, including appreciation for the selection of materials at Tualatin Library and for broader access to materials and resources through WCCLS, as well as suggestions to improve library programs, the collection, and library facility. Comments included:

• "The staff is so friendly and helpful. I love taking my kids here, and they feel so comfortable and confident in asking the staff questions because they know they are going to be heard and helped."
• "The variety of items here reflect the diverse cultures, interests, hobbies, languages, ages, etc., found in the Tualatin community at large."
• "I drive a long way to use Tualatin Library. The staff are most kind to all who use the library."
• "The Makerspace and the Library of Things are amazing! We love Tualatin Library. It’s one of our favorite places, and every time we visit we are reminded of how wonderful our community is. It’s truly such a gift!"
• "I love Tualatin Library and wish I had more free time to enjoy all that Tualatin Library has to offer."
