A conceptual design for Seneca Street, and the City Offices and Library parking lots has been prepared. We want to hear what you think about the proposed design.
Please email your comments to khofmann@ci.tualatin.or.us.
"Street A" (which will be a new street off of Lower Boones Ferry Road is shown on the concept design. More detailed design images will be available for public review soon. The improvements will also include a traffic signal at SW Martinazzi Avenue and SW Seneca Street and pedestrian crosswalks across both streets.
The extension of the street and the addition of a traffic signal will improve circulation and pedestrian safety and will provide better access to the Nyberg Rivers development, Tualatin Library and City Offices. You can learn more about this development by visiting the Nyberg Rivers Project Page.
The new street will require the demolition of the City's existing Council Building located at 18880 SW Martinazzi Ave. Because of this pending construction, several City services are being relocated. The City Council has asked staff to begin work on a comprehensive long range Civic Facilities Study. The City is working to develop a scope, schedule, budget and public involvement plan for a study to present to Council. There will be many opportunities for public involvement in this process.
