Transportation System Plan
Tualatin’s 2045 Transportation System Plan
Planning for the ways we’ll move, now and in the future
Tualatin’s Transportation System Plan (TSP) is our community’s long-range guide for building a safe, connected, and reliable transportation network. It looks ahead to the year 2045 and sets priorities for projects that will help people get around—whether by car, bike, bus, wheelchair, scooter, or on foot.
The TSP isn’t just about building roads. It’s about making travel easier, safer, and more convenient for everyone as our city grows.
What is the TSP?
Think of it as Tualatin’s transportation “blueprint.” The plan:
- Lays out where new streets, sidewalks, bike lanes, and transit amenities are needed
- Helps decide which projects to build
- Ensures transportation keeps up with new housing, jobs, and businesses
It’s also how the City meets state and regional requirements, including:
- Oregon’s Statewide Planning Goal 12 (Transportation)
- Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD) rules
- Oregon Department of Transportation’s Highway Plan
- Metro’s Regional Transportation Plan
Why it matters to you...
A good transportation system shapes how we live, work, and connect. The TSP helps:
- Make travel safer for drivers, pedestrians, cyclists, and transit riders
- Reduce congestion and improve traffic flow
- Provide more travel options beyond driving
- Support local businesses by improving access
