Public Works Construction Code

Public Works Construction Code

This document has been prepared to address the design, materials, and workmanship of public improvements (specifically potable water, sanitary sewer, storm drain, transportation facilities, and franchise utilities) within the City of Tualatin by providing a “one source” point to address the issues, questions, and concerns that typically accompany such work.

Wherever possible, standards and methods adopted by agencies outside the City, with whom the City has made previous agreements, have been included in order to adopt a comprehensive document that encompasses materials and methods used in Washington County.

The general format and contents of this document have been developed around three areas:

Chapter 100, General Specifications, includes the requirements for acquisition of, and execution of the Public Works Permit and associated work.

Chapter 200, Design Requirements Specifications, includes provisions for the development of construction plans and public facility design requirements.

Chapter 300, Technical Specifications, addresses the requirements of public facility construction and inspection.
