Equity Committee Planning Group
Para Español
The Tualatin City Council is deeply interested in making sure all community members have a voice and can be involved in the City’s governance. They decided to create the Equity Committee Planning Group to advise them on how to put together a permanent Equity Committee.
Recruitment for the Planning Group began in early 2022 and we received over thirty applicants. The Council Committee on Advisory Appointments (CCAA) interviewed applicants and recommended fifteen for appointment. On May 9, the City Council appointed the following individuals to serve on the Equity Committee Planning Group:
- Glendora Claybrooks
- Stacey Dolezal
- Jennifer Eidson
- Rio Espinosa
- Rachel Greenough
- Valerie Holt
- Shannon Huggins
- Lusi Hong
- Mike Mata
- Maria Nguyen
- Sharon Noell
- Bryan Ortiz
- BJ Park
- Isabella Raymond
- Shane Skinner
The Equity Committee Planning Group is a temporary group that will meet between May and October this year. The purpose of the Planning Group is to help build the structure of the permanent Equity Committee by reviewing data about the community and City Council initiatives, sharing their lived experiences, and participating in engaging discussions.
We expect to form the permanent Equity Committee in early 2023.
