Erosion Control Permit

An Erosion Control Permit is required if changes to improved or unimproved real property cause, will cause, or are likely to cause a temporary or permanent increase in the rate of soil erosion from the site, as described in Clean Water Services Design and Construction Standards Section 2.03.4, Erosion Control Permits. An erosion control permit may be a stand-alone permit or it may be needed in conjunction with other permits.

As described in Tualatin's Public Works Construction Code, Section 102.1.4, there are four general categories of Erosion Control Permits issued by the City:

  • Single-Family Residential
    • Disturbing under 1,000 SF
    • Disturbing 1,000 SF or greater
  • Non-Residential
    • Disturbing under 1,000 SF
    • Disturbing under 1-acre
  • 1200-CN (Disturbing between 1- and 5-acres)
