2026 Share the Love Call to Artists
Tualatin Parks and Recreation invites talented glass artists to submit proposals for the creation of hand-blown glass hearts to be featured in our annual Share the Love event.
ABOUT SHARE THE LOVE
Share the Love is an annual event where hundreds of hand-blown glass hearts are hidden throughout the City of Tualatin's parks and trails. Share the Love celebrates connection, creativity, and outdoor exploration by hiding colorful glass hearts throughout Tualatin’s parks and trails during the month of February.
Artist Scope
- Each heart should be hand-blown glass, measuring approximately 3–4 inches in diameter.
- Hearts should be created in a variety of colors.
- Up to three artists will be selected to participate.
- A total budget of $5,000 will be distributed among selected artists, inclusive of all materials and labor.
- Artists must be able to produce multiple hearts in a timely fashion for delivery in December 2025.
- Each heart should include the City of Tualatin logo stamped on one side.
- Quote should include delivery to the City of Tualatin.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Cost per heart (inclusive of all fees)
- Estimated quantity of hearts you can create within the project timeframe
- 3–5 photo samples of recent relevant work (preferably glasswork, and ideally similar in size or concept)
- Artists may be asked to produce two sample hearts. Samples do not need to include City of Tualatin logo.
TIMELINE
- Submission Deadline: August 1 , 2025
- Notification of Artists no later than August 15, 2025
- Complete heart order due: December 31, 2025
