July Mayor’s Note

On June 23rd, the City Council adopted the City’s budget for Fiscal Year 2025-2026, which begins on July 1. Last month, our Budget Advisory Committee took a deep dive into the budget—asking thoughtful questions and approving amendments to help maintain Tualatin’s solid financial foundation.

This year’s budget focuses on several key priorities:

  • Climate & Environment: Funding a Climate Program Coordinator to advance our Climate Action Plan, along with seasonal staff to assist with a street tree inventory.
  • Economic Development & Parks: Supporting downtown revitalization, parks maintenance, and housing strategy initiatives.
  • Neighborhood Engagement: Launching a new City website to improve access to services, expanding support for the Tualatin Community Involvement Organizations (CIO) and continuing to fund Neighborhood Transportation Safety Projects.

These investments reflect our ongoing commitment to a vibrant, sustainable, and connected Tualatin.

I encourage everyone to take a look at the budget. Thank you to the Budget Advisory Committee and City staff for their dedication and thoughtful work throughout this process.
