New Wraps and Mural

Signal Box Wraps

As you travel through Tualatin this summer, keep an eye out for colorful new additions at our intersections.

Since 2021, the Tualatin Arts Advisory Committee (TAAC) has been transforming utilitarian traffic signal boxes into vibrant works of art through the Traffic Signal Box Wrap Program. After reviewing more than one hundred submissions from artists across the country and holding a public vote to select favorites, four additional boxes were wrapped in eye-catching art this past June.

A new sidewalk mural was also installed this summer in partnership with Tualatin Riverkeepers. Created by artist Ashley Adams, the mural features an environmental theme, reminding us that our storm drains flow directly into the Tualatin River.

The Arts Committee selects new projects annually, so keep an eye out for even more public art coming soon! For more information about the City of Tualatin’s Arts and Culture programs, visit https://www.tualatinoregon.gov/recreation/arts-and-culture.
