Regatta Medallion Hunt-Clue #1
CLUE #1
Clue #1 will help narrow the location down to the North or South side of Tualatin.
Welcome friends to this year’s hunt,
The medallion waits for you!
But first we need to narrow the scope,
Set off in a direction true.
North? South? East? West?
Which compass arrow points the way?
One place in one city quadrant starts the quest
If you can guess, you’re off to play!
In 2020 our state ranked 4th in production of this tuber,
In the 1860’s they grew here too, looking to the future.
As time went by, a ‘century’ passed, the farm became distinguished.
The use has changed, the looks evolved, but history never extinguished.
The namesake of our first locale was active throughout town,
Not just the park is named for him, but also a street of renown.
He kept the books for the Winona Grange until his death in 1909.
The year 2000 opened the park, 2024 will see a whole new playground, divine!
