Regatta Medallion Hunt

In celebration of the West Coast Giant Pumpkin Regatta, the City of Tualatin invites you to participate in the Regatta Medallion Hunt. Clues will be released on the City’s website and the Regatta’s Facebook page on the following dates:

  • September 25
  • October 2
  • October 9
  • October 16.

These clues are designed to guide treasure hunters toward a hidden medallion.

The hunt centers around a 4-inch bronze medallion engraved with the Regatta mascot. On its reverse side, you’ll find instructions for redeeming the medallion and claiming a bounty of rewards.

Prize

  • The first person to find the medallion and follow the redemption instructions will receive a West Coast Giant Pumpkin
  • Regatta swag bag. Only one prize is available.
  • The medallion must be redeemed within one week of being found.

How to Locate the Medallion

  • The medallion is hidden on public property and placed on the ground.
  • No digging, climbing, or tools are needed to retrieve it.
  • It will be located within 300 feet of the final clue’s location.
  • Please do not damage plants, grass, or other public landscaping. Violation of laws or regulations may lead to disqualification.

Eligibility

  • Everyone is welcome to participate, except City of Tualatin employees.
  • Your participation is voluntary, and the City and its partners assume no legal or financial liability.

Timeline

  • Clues will be released on September 25, October 2, October 9, and October 16.
  • The hunt concludes when the medallion is redeemed. An announcement will be made on the Medallion Hunt webpage and the Regatta Facebook page once it has been claimed.
  • If the medallion remains unclaimed by midnight on October 23, 2025, the contest ends and no prize will be awarded.

Placement of the Medallion

  • To avoid accidental discovery, the medallion will be hidden after the release of the second clue.

Dispute Resolution

  • If any questions or disputes arise regarding the rules or the contest, the City of Tualatin Parks & Recreation Manager’s decision is final and binding.

Questions?

  • Inquiries about the rules should be directed to Heidi Marx at hmarx@tualatin.gov.
  • No additional hints or tips will be provided.

Good luck and happy hunting!
