Mayor's Note March 2026
Each year, the City Council gathers with executive staff to review our accomplishments from the year before, reaffirm our vision, and talk through our top priorities for the year to come. It’s a chance to celebrate progress, ask hard questions, and set a clear path forward together.
We identified seven priorities for 2026. Each one includes the outcomes we hope to achieve and the specific actions our organization will take to get there:
2026 Priorities
-
Neighborhood Engagement
-
Housing
-
Economic Development
-
Transportation
-
Environment
-
Parks
-
Culture and Identity
When we meet in person, each city councilor has a laminated printout of the vision and priorities in front of them. It’s a simple tool—but a powerful reminder to keep our vision and priorities at the forefront of every action and decision we make as a council.
Also, please save the date for the State of the City this year on May 19, 2026, from 5:30pm – 7:30pm at the Grand Hotel at Bridgeport. More details coming soon—we hope to see you there.
