Brown’s Ferry Park

November 22, 2014

Volunteers impact stream health, one plant at a time!

  • 63 amazing volunteers mobilized to plant 1100 native trees and shrubs along the banks of  Nyberg Creek.

  • Volunteers came from Compton Realty Group, Directors Choice Mortgage, Chemeketa Community College, Warner Pacific College, LDS church, Tualatin High School, Girl Scout Troop 40446, Hands On Portland, and city of Tualatin citizens.

Thank you to our project partners!

  • Compton Realty Group and Directors Choice Mortgage provided Starbuck's coffee, hot chocolate, fruit and enthusiastic volunteers;
  • Haggens provided delicious bakery goods;
  • Clean Water Services provided healthy plants and trees;
  • Friends of Trees provided  expertise and leadership to get the plants in the ground!

Thank you to City staff, Ryan Flett for leadership at this event.

Kudos to our Volunteers of the Year, Andrew Evans and Dave Skoglund and to Crew Leaders Chris Newcombe and Matt Chapman for bringing their expertise to the day!
