2023 Giant Pumpkin Paddling Quest
Is paddling a giant pumpkin on your bucket list? Enter for a chance at a once in a lifetime experience! Fill out the form below for your chance to paddle a giant pumpkin in the 2023 West Coast Giant Pumpkin Regatta!
Registration is closed for 2023
After registration closes, 15 submissions will be selected and placed on the list of potential paddlers. All other entrants will be placed on a list of alternates. Being included on the list of potential paddlers does not guarantee that you will get to paddle a giant pumpkin. We do our best to make sure that everyone gets an opportunity to paddle but we don't know how many pumpkins will be available until the morning of the Regatta.
One entry per person. Entering the quest more than once does not increase your chances of being selected.
Everyone that enters will receive an email by Monday, September 11 notifying them of their status on the list. Those that are selected have until Monday, September 18 to respond to the email confirming their wish to paddle. If a potential paddler is unable to paddle or does not respond before the September 18 deadline the first person on the list of alternates will be contacted.
**Paddlers must be at least 18 years old.
**One person per pumpkin
Helpful information:
• Life jacket, paddle, and pumpkin will be provided.
• Costumes are required. Please make sure that your costume is appropriate for a family event. Be aware that you will get wet and covered in pumpkin slime so plan accordingly. Wear a costume you can swim in if needed.
• There is a chance that a pumpkin will capsize. Life jackets are provided and required but paddlers should have strong swimming skills.
• The City of Tualatin is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Arrange for a friend to hold your valuables while you are in the pumpkin.
For more information please contact Heidi Marx at hmarx@tualatin.gov
