1. Who provides Tualatin's garbage and recycling services? 
  • Republic Services provides garbage, recycling, and yard debris collection and disposal for homes and businesses.
2. How much does garbage/recycling service cost?

3. How do I sign up for services? 
  • Residents and businesses should call Republic directly (503-981-1278) to set up a new account and services.
  • After setting up service, you can manage your bill and account via Republic's online portal.
  • If you are going to use autopay with Republic, make sure you check the box online to activate autopay. 
4. Is my garbage/recycling included on my City bill? 
  • No. You should manage your Republic Services bill separately from your City bill. 
5. My curbside bins are missing or damaged!
  • First, check with your neighbors to see if they can give you any information.
  • Second, call Republic directly (503-981-1278) to find out the proper course of action to find or get new bins. The City does not manage curbside bins. 
6. Will my service be disrupted by holidays? 
  • ​Republic Services observes the following national holidays:
    • New Year’s Day and Christmas Day
    • If one of these holidays falls on your collection day, your service will be delayed one day for the entire holiday week. For example, Monday's collection will be collected on Tuesday, Tuesday’s collection will be on Wednesday and so on. Your service will resume its regular collection schedule the following week.
  • Tualatin's bins are picked up weekly. Washington County developed the Recycling Day App to help customers keep track. 
7. How do I dispose of hazardous waste?

8. How do I know what goes in which bins? 

  • More information can be found on Washington County's website and printable brochures can be found at the bottom of this page. 

9. What about weather disruptions? 

  • Weather conditions such as snow, severe heat and smoke may interrupt garbage, recycling and yard debris collection. In the event of a service disruption, please visit WashingtonCountyRecycles.com for service updates and answers to frequently asked questions.
