Summer Reading begins on June 1
Summer Reading returns on June 1! This summer, we invite you to Find Your Voice.
How to participate
Register at the library
Summer Reading is for everyone in your family! All participants receive a reading log. Kids and teens receive a free book when they sign up.
Read for twenty minutes and place a sticker on your log.
- What counts as reading? Not just books! Newspapers, magazines, audiobooks, online articles, graphic novels count too.
- Reading to a young child counts as reading for you and the child!
When your log is full, bring it in to the library.
- Kids and teens get another free book for their first completed log. Adults receive a coupon for a free item from our Friends of the Tualatin Public Library sale.
- Everyone gets an entry in our Grand Prize Drawings.
Did you say Grand Prize Drawings?
Yes, yes we did. This year's prizes are:
- A $200 Barnes & Noble gift card
- A $200 gift card to Voicebox Karaoke
- A Masingo Ostinato M7 karaoke machine
- The LEGO Icons Jazz Club LEGO set
Scroll to the bottom of this page for pictures of the prizes.
Keep reading for more Grand Prize Drawing entries!
- Participants of all ages will get an additional drawing entry for every reading log they turn in.
When can I start? When can I finish?
- We're accepting registrations from June 1 all the way through August 31.
- Completed logs can be turned in through August 31 for books and Grand Prize Drawing entries.
