Music at the Hearth: Selva Espiral
Saturday, July 26, 2025 - 2:00pm to 3:00pm
The guitar duo Selva Espiral ("Spiral Jungle"), comprised of Cesar Quevedo Barrero and Daniel Reyes Llinás, explores the sound richness of the guitar through a repertoire that fuses tradition and modernity. They will perform the music for modern guitar inspired by the musical traditions of indigenous peoples of Colombia. In addition, the duo will present original compositions that combine contemporary influences with elements of Latin American roots music, creating a unique sound experience.
Free and for all ages. Held at the Library Hearth.
El dúo de guitarras “Selva Espiral”, conformado por César Quevedo Barrero y Daniel Reyes Llinás, explora la riqueza sonora de la guitarra a través de un repertorio que fusiona tradición y modernidad. Interpretarán la música para guitarra moderna que están inspiradas en las tradiciones musicales de los pueblos indígenas de Colombia. Además, el dúo presentará composiciones originales que combinan influencias contemporáneas con elementos de la música de raíz latinoamericana, creando una experiencia sonora única.
