Howdy, Neighbor!

Howdy, Neighbor!
One of our neighbors, Tigard Public Library, will be closed from February 1 through the month of April. We expect you'll see more unfamiliar faces at our library during this time.

We anticipate that there may be more people wanting to attend our programs and storytimes, and we may need to make some adjustments to keep them fun and comfortable for everyone. There will be more people wanting to use our meeting rooms and computers. We may reassign meeting rooms if reservations aren't claimed in time, and we may not be able to extend computer use sessions.

It may feel a bit tighter in here, but we're excited to show our neighbors what makes our library the community hub you know and love.

If you're new to us, here are some handy tips about our library:

  • We have meeting rooms that can be reserved in advance and used up to two hours per day.
  • Our computers can be used up to two hours per day for adults, with additional time possible if there are enough computers available. We do not use a reservation system for computers. See more about our Technology Use Policy on our Library Policies page.
  • We offer free printing for up to 25 pages in black & white, or 10 pages in color, from our computers, via wireless, or on our copier.

We're making some changes while we get acclimated to having more people in our library.

  • For Book Babies, Tiny Tots, and Family Storytime, every attendee - adult and child - will need to get a special sticker from the Information Desk before coming into the Community Room. We will hand out stickers starting at 10 am; attendees must be present to receive a sticker. When the stickers are gone, the storytime is full.
  • During weekend Makerspace Open Labs, we will have participants sign in. The Makerspace is limited to 24 patrons in the space at one time. We are asking participants to limit their Makerspace time to two hours to provide access for more people during Labs. Prints on the 3D printers need to be 2 hours or shorter during Open Labs. See more about waivers, and booking your own time in the Makerspace.
