Deep Listening
Sunday, July 13, 2025 - 2:00pm to 3:30pm
Deep Listening explores the differences between involuntary hearing and the conscious nature of listening. Using sounds from the environment, recordings and from participants, this practice promotes experimentation, playfulness, collaboration, and creative skills.
Deep Listening was developed by composer Pauline Oliveros (1932-2016) and is practiced by musicians and creatives throughout the world. These sessions are led by Kevin Lay of Cascadia Composers.
Registration is recommended. (Register here)
