September Mayor’s Note
Transportation is something our community cares about deeply, and I’m excited to share that on August 11, 2025, the Tualatin City Council adopted our new 2045 Transportation System Plan (TSP)! This is the first big update since 2014—and a lot has changed in that time. Our City has grown, Oregon has updated its transportation rules, and in 2024 we adopted a Climate Action Plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The updated TSP reflects all of these changes and gives us a roadmap for how we’ll invest in transportation over the next 20 years. It focuses on keeping our system safe, efficient, and sustainable—whether you’re driving, biking, taking the bus, or walking.
This plan was truly shaped by the community. We had the support of a dedicated Community Advisory Committee and heard from more than 2,000 residents, businesses, and visitors. Thank you to everyone who shared your voice and helped shape this vision for Tualatin’s future!
