Upcoming TriMet Open House
TriMet is reducing spending to close a $300 million annual budget gap. While some of the savings will come from administrative cuts, TriMet also needs to cut service to bring expenses in line with revenues.
Service reductions on several bus lines will take place in November 2025 and March 2026. But larger cuts will be needed in 2026 and 2027 to reduce service by at least 10%.
As TriMet prepares to make these cuts, the agency is asking community members to weigh in. You can help shape the future of transit service.
TriMet has launched an online Service Priorities Survey, open through Oct. 31. The survey is open to everyone, including those who don’t ride TriMet regularly.
TriMet will also hold an open house at the Tualatin Public Library, 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23. Information at the open house will be available in English and Spanish.
