Starry Nights and Holiday Lights
Friday, December 5, 2014
5:00pm to 8:30pm
Lake of the Commons,Tualatin
The holidays are a chance to spend time with family and friends to celebrate many things including community. The Starry Nights and Holiday Lights event is a perennial favorite for Tualatin residents to kick-off the holiday season.
On the first Friday in December bring your family and friends down to the Lake at the Tualatin Commons at 8325 SW Nyberg Street to slip into the holiday spirit and watch the tree lighting ceremony while marveling at the holiday lights around the lake. Crowds enjoy a free event featuring carolers, refreshments, activities for the kids and holiday cheer. Come be a part of a special night filled with tens of thousands of twinkling lights, hundreds of song-filled voices, and the lighting of the floating holiday tree.
At 6:00 p.m. join us for the countdown to the lighting of the floating tree. The illumination of the lights is something that has to be seen to be believed!
Kids can do a holiday craft sponsored by Brow Betty and Mirror Mirror Salon, make a card to send to the troops with Umpqua Bank, hot cocoa from Starbucks, cookies will be provided by New Seasons Market and, if tradition holds, Santa will make a visit!
