Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports
The City of Tualatin has annual audits performed by an independent auditing firm in accordance with municipal audit law (Oregon Revised Statutes 297.405 through 297.555). When the audit is completed, within six months of the end of the City’s fiscal year, a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) is issued. The City’s fiscal year runs July 1 to June 30.
For more than twenty years, the City’s CAFR has received the Government Finance Officers Association Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
